"Great WinZip Alternative"
Pros
Some years ago I came to dislike the fact that WinZip didn't natively support many file formats. You had to had external command-line softwares to handle ARJ, LHA and others I don't remember. So I began searching the Internet for an alternative and ended up finding PowerArchiver, which at the time was a freeware. I've been a user since then. And since its interface mimics WinZip there's almost no learning curve. Highly recommended.
Cons
Translations have a tendency to lag behind the official English language release. This was worse in the past, but as of today it's still common for both a new version and its translations to not be released at the same time. That's why I usually have the English version installed, even though my license is the (slightly more expensive) international one.
