    "Good synchronization"

    February 10, 2012  |   By msecour

    Pros

I have found this fairly easy to use and customize.

    Cons

The frequency of "new versions" which must be downloaded and installed manually is a real nuisance. For a program that is not free I would expect simply updates that are semi-automatic (like Quicken, for example). I suspect it is because the download method gives us the opportunity to purchase other suggested utilities. It is really offensive.

As another reviewer has noted already, the upgrade to Version 9 apparently voids the license you have purchased for unlimited use. I contacted Goodsync support and received an apology along with a link to a new download and ID number. The response of customer support was fairly quick, particularly to follow-up questions. I did not have to pay for the product again.

I am delighted with what this software accomplishes but I continue to be annoyed by the frequent "updated version available" messages that require linking to a website that tries to sell more software to me. It is the same sort of irritation I get when a new Bluray movie that I have purchased wants me to wade through a stream of previews of other movies.
