"Great System Backup/Recover Product!"
Pros
I am happy with its features:
- No problem backup to my FAT 32 file system Ext. HDD
- User friendly backup wizard
- Rescue CD enabled
- Scheduler
- Create Desktop shortcuts
- Effective/ThoroughCons
Takes up more storage space than needed.
Slows / tasks computer resources.Summary
I have not found a better system backup product than Macrium Reflect. The menu is straight forward and is easy to understand, use and navigate. I searched high and low to find a FREE and comprehensive crash recovery / system backup product that would store to my FAT 32 file system external hard drive.
PS. a huge Con for this freeware product... you cannot create differential and incremental backup images therefore using lots of storage space. The only way around this is to dig into your pockets and shell out approximately $45 for the full version.
Due to my external hard drive file system, most backup programs can only store a maximum of 5 GB per file. Comparing the cumulative backup files from Macrium (37.3 GB) to the actual system drive (17.3 GB), I have a grave difference!?
For data backup (e.g., My Documents and Desktop) I use Syncback freeware by 2BrightSparks. I can instantly view and access files in its original file format without going through extra steps with Macrium. With both of these products I have 100% file duplication and assurance which helps to sleep better at night. I have not nor hope to use the Rescue CD I created with Macrium Reflect.
If you are looking for a thorough system recover/backup product, Macrium is bar none.

You should try Paragon Backup & Recovery 10.1 Free Edition it works really good and it is the only one that you can use a flash drive with. I crashed my computer and Paragon Backup & Recovery 10.1 Free Edition got everything back just like nothing ever happened.
