    "Used to be great"

    October 24, 2013  |   By paulettemoudakis

    It's free.

I had to get rid of Avast and put in AVG instead. After a recent upgrade, it decided that one of the .dll files in my most critical program was a virus - it absolutely was NOT! It kept immediately moving the file to the virus chest every time I tried to reinstall the program and totally blocked me out of the program. I reported this as a false threat to no avail - this is the second or third time in the past few years I've had a similar problem with this. I wasted a full day running every virus check I could and troubleshooting. If this was the first time I had encountered a problem, I'd give them a pass, but it's not, so bye-bye Avast....
