"Beat AVG For Total Downloads Last Week!!"

    November 29, 2012  |   By TriggaHappy

    Pros

I have been an Avast Free Antivirus user for over 3 years now, after being an AVG Free Antivirus user since year dot of the internet revolution.

I prefer Avast for it offers an audio confirmation of updates, every 8 hours - That's 3 times every 24 hours, with any antivirus software only managing to be as good as it's latest update - For new strains of virus are created continuously.

    Cons

I would recommend that Avast Free Antivirus Installers opted for a custom installation & uncheck the boxes that are offering additional software & programs from Avast's sponsors.

    Summary

I would most definitely recommend Avast Free Antivirus & I have installed the software on all of my family & friends desktop PC's & laptops.

Almost 1.5million users downloaded Avast Free Antivirus last week alone, with the software managing to boast of over 224 million total downloads.

A warning box appears when a user is about to download suspicious content, which is totally reassuring & offers users confidence in the product.

In my opinion (as a computer technician) Avast have the most optimum free antivirus software available on the market to date - Takes 3-4 minutes for download & installation - If I recall correctly, without the need for a restart.

Avast free is the most reliable of all the free antivirus programs, and it shows more users than anyone else.

Avast has found and got rid of more viruses and trojans and worms ect ect than anyone else.

Avast is number one for a reason.
