    "Avast the best free antivirus"

    Pros

    I tried before several free antivirus: Avast, Panda Cloud, AVG, Avira, Immunet, ClearSight, Rising, Kingsoft, but none compare with Avast, both the detection and the consumption of resources.
    Acclaimed Kingsoft Antivirus consume in my system (1.4 GHz, 512 MB, Windows SP3) approx. 200MB with Windows processes, while Avast maximum 160 MB.

    Cons

    I do not think I had a problem with Avast , except teh WebReputation in Google Chrome but this was solved.

    Summary

    Ido not think any free antivirus can to match Avast .Lately they have worked to improve detection , along with lower resource consumption .
