"too many false positives"
nice interface, and I'd always had good luck with the Windows version
1. Lots of old files from my windows machine (esp mpg files), which have been previously scanned by windows anti-malware apps with no neg results, are showing up as Infected with very old trojans and boot sector viruses; and even more are showing up as Suspicious w/ no useful explanation.
2. Can't find a way to exclude certain drives or folder from the scan (e.g., TimeMachine), so full system scan takes forever. (And, yes, I know I can just do several specific scans, but that's no longer user friendly)
Overzealous finding of Problems gives users a stomachache without helping them. App makers do this to make their software seem more useful than it is.
Seems to me a free product (for which thanks, Avast) shouldn't have to do that.
