"What About Malware Hiding In Allowed Programs?"

    June 19, 2012  |   By ElObomo

    Pros

Advert reads like a God-send Miracle.

    Cons

    ??????????

    Summary

Tell me how it stops virus/mal-ware hiding in programs??????

    Updated on Jun 20, 2012

How do I know it works?
I know Comodo works - never seen any reviews on your Voodoo.
Why don't YOU do a test and post it on YouTube to show us how effective it is, instead of being so defensive?

That is great that you found the video! I would have made it longer, but it is kind of boring and redundant.

Have you ever noticed that all of the youtube videos that review security software prominently display the task manager? Think of VoodooShield this way... VoodooShield immediately kills any new process that is not on the whitelist, so it is kind of silly to show the task manager, right? Although, it does help to show that VoodooShield is working, that is why they always display the task manager! THAT is how you know VoodooShield works!

We actually appreciate your feedback and questions, but obviously, we think rating our software one star without trying it is not cool :). Please consider updating your rating if you feel different about our product now that you know a little more about it! Thank you!

Sorry, I am not trying to be defensive, but we have spent a lot of time and money on creating amazing security software, and to have someone rate it one star without even trying it, that is just not cool.

The "hidden" malware argument is crazy since blacklist solutions are completely blind to the zero day threats. We have tested VS against many, many viruses on malwaredomainlist and clean-mx, and nothing has defeated VS. Please try to find an exploit or virus that can defeat it. We are a startup, and would LOVE to have people test and review VS!

Users who understand VS and the need for it, absolutely love it. VS is not a firewall, and it is not traditional antivirus software. VS blocks Zero Day threats that traditional antivirus is completely blind to, and this accounts for the MAJORITY of virus infections. We recommend running Microsoft Security Essentials with VoodooShield, it never hurts to have multi layered security.

So have you tried VS yet? I will bet you will love it!

When you ask about malware "hiding" in allowed processes, are you talking about processes or scripts? If you are talking processes, as soon as a new process is spawned, it is terminated immediately. If you are talking about scripts, some of the scripts are already blocked, and we are adding advanced script blocking features soon. Besides, everyone always talks about malware "hiding" in allowed processes, but it is EXTREMELY uncommon. To do any real damage, at some point a new process has to be spawned, and VoodooShield terminates it immediately.

Be honest, have you tried VoodooShield, or did you just give it a bad rating? :) I bet if you tried it, you would like it. Please try VoodooShield, and if you like it, please update your review.

VoodooShield's main strength is that it blocks Zero Day threats that traditional antivirus is completely blind to, and accounts for the MAJORITY of virus infections.

So are you suggesting that people only use traditional antivirus?
