As I've stated 4 the past several years,Avast is the best free A/V app out there,period.The 2012 7.0 version makes it even more so,w/programable shields & the new Remote assistance app {just in time 4 the exorbitant fuel prices}I can now sit at my monitor and adjust/repair the dozens of family & friends PC's through this app,which even my most computer-illiterate friend,{his words-not mine,4 I know he is only afraid of screwing it up}doesn't fear using.Thank u Avast developers,4 this great product!!!! I can't find any,perhaps the developers @ Avast can, IF they thought it needed an extra benefit,like the great Remote assist, in it's ample package.
Summary
AVG-Norton & Windows Defender all allowed viruses into my PC,since I installed Avast in 07 or 08,nada!! It simply blocks bad sites.
Read my former posts about Avast,I have installed it on appx. 30 PC's {friends & relatives} as of this posting,so I believe u can see, I value the new Avast highly!!I set the shields{expert settings}on high as well as the scan mode,& use the valuable BOOT-TIME scan 2 keep all units virus-free.Best wishes 2 all u surfers; Travis PS: Many thanks 2 Avast 4 such a great FREE virus stopper.
