"No hassle peace of mind"
Easy to set up and use; excellent tech support. If you know your original tech support guy/lady's name from the company's beginnings, he or she still has your back. Avast isn't offended when a customer asks to correspond with his/her original tech. Don't find that very often these days.
Techie friends of mine say there is no such thing as having too many choices. With Avast Pro Suite there should be enough there to please anyone. Inexperienced users can get into trouble quickly by getting too deep into the "Advanced Options" pages, but "restore to default settings" works like a charm without losing data "when I get in over my head."
WebRoot (the program) doesn't like Avast and attempts to shut it down, so if you're a WebRoot fan, running it with Avast (either actively or in reserve -- doesn't activate at boot -- can be a bother. I canned WebRoot because they wouldn't make it run with Avast. Program is of Czech or Romanian origin, which gives one pause, but a dishonest vendor could be sitting right next door and be spying on me, and my tech guy always has something interesting to tell me about the world and its computers. I'd list his name, but then he'd be slammed with requests which would lengthen my wait times (typically very short), I fear.
Multi-computer options are nicely priced, and the newsletter is always filled with interesting and unusual stuff.
