Summary
During the install process use the "custom" option. Cnet's review failed to mention as the Persistent Cache is filled the quicker the scan times will become. I have been a loyal avast user for several years and with each new release avast keeps getting better. avast is not only reliable but very configurable to each users personal needs. At one time I thought AVG was the best until AVG let a trojan through. After I started using avast I have been and will expect to be virus free for years to come. This is the only anti-virus I will ever recommend. On a side note the avast forums are very helpful and polite. Try...forum.avast.com!
Once you use avast you will never go back to any other anti-virus software. I highly recommend avast for anyone who wants solid protection for their computer.
