"Don't be deceived...It's a resource hog"
Everything all-in-one, the price is right, the options are configurable, several different firewall modes (training, safe, clean mode, etc.) so it's not constantly nagging you to allow a connection
Serious issues here with CPU or memory leak, with so many options it's geared toward the 'geek' but not so much toward the average user
I tend to go for the 'all-in-one' suites. I believed the reviews here that Comodo was easy on the resources, so I thought it would be the one for me. Plus, the price is right. Unfortunately that was wrong. I installed CIS on two computers. For the first couple of days, everything was OK. It was running pretty smoothly and 'learning' all of the applications trying to connect. All of a sudden, both computers that I had installed CIS on were unusable. One of them was a quad-core laptop with 6GB of memory. I was hardly able to pull up task manager to find out that Comodo was using almost 100% CPU (on all 4 cores)!! On the other computer, which is an older Pentium 4, I wasn't even able to login!! I ended up doing a 'System Restore' on both computers to remove Comodo.
Unfortunately I'm not able to offer a very helpful review of the product. I didn't have much time to use it before it rendered my systems unusable. Therefore, it gets 2 stars.
