    "Simple and Effective"

    Pros

    Doesn't hog system resources, very customizable, intuitive to set up.

    Cons

    Didn't get a warning on initial scan that virus definition was way out of date.

    Summary

    I moved to Avira after having some problems with the other popular free antivirus software. I wanted to have a simple antivirus solution without the annoying and system hogging additions. Avira AntiVir has so far fit the bill.
