Pros
It can convert multiple formats e.g. images, audio, video.
It's free.
It's interface is simple in most areas.Cons
Not the best support for mobile and other devices (its there but could look nicer)
Will ask if you want to install extra stuff e.g. ask toolbar (but this is easily unticked - the sponsorship helps to keep the product free).

I've tried a lot of converter programs. Most are really expensive and they only work for specific type of file e.g. an audio converter program or a video converter program. FormatFactory does them all: video,audio,images.
The only problem really is the profile part can be confusing - you can choose different qualities, sizes etc. but if your not sure what you want it can be tricky. However usually using the default works.
However I do also think there could be better support for mobiles. It took me a while to figure out how to get it to convert for different devices e.g. iPod, PS3 etc.
It really comes down to a layout issue. It really is nice and simple, but I would quite like something like AVS Video Converter's layout integrated - I like how AVS has it in Formats, Devices and Web options, making it easier to find what you need.
However the key thing is this program does everything really conversion wise and for free, well you simply can't beat it.
