    "Fast, fast, fast!"

    March 29, 2012  |   By RVHAT

Fast and versatile - it is what is, a fast, simple viewer and file manipulator.

If you accept it for what it is, there are none. If you compare it to real image manipulation software, well then you'll have some issues

I liken IrfanView to a utility I used every day back in the eighties and ninetys XTREE. Both are fast and highly valuable. I use IrfanView at least once a day, sometimes just a control-printscreen and then paste the image into it and cut the piece I want. Way easier than any of the screen capture things I've used. I also use it to reduce and scale images for use on the web where we don't want large file sizes. It has a cool "save for web" feature that works flawlessly.

It's one of the most valuable pieces of software I have.
