"My default Image Viewer Organizer Manipulator"
One of the best free applications for images viewing, directory organization, cropping, resizing, renaming, and converting various image file types (including tga), including directory batch conversion and renaming.
Easy, and a champ at what it does. Don't recall seeing a nag screen, if it displayed one initially it hasn't shown its face again (I use version 3.7).
Has limited image processing features (at least the version I've been using on my XP, 3.7), so for anything more than cropping, resizing, renaming, and converting, I use Photoshop. (And FIV crops and does these other functions a whole lot easier than Photoshop does.)
It could use a dual directory and images view, for ease of transferring files between different folders. Or for comparing two images in different directories.
The only time I don't use this program is when I need to have multiple instances of a picture viewer up, and especially if I want a borderless view, as there is no option except fullsizing an image to eliminate the interface border. I use the Quicktime picture viewer in those rare cases (which is mostly when I've got images of the lists of gaming controls on my desktop while learning a game).
I've used this progam as my default image handler for years, for viewing, organizing, cropping, converting, and renaming. The program is excellent, and there's probably more great features in it than I've explored, especially in the newer version.
