Pros
Quick and easy to use. Easy to edit my photos.
Cons
Versions for Intel Macs had a smudge tool that pixelated the area I was trying to smooth, so I use version 5.9.5, the last one for PPC. I'll have to see how version 7 performs.
Summary
Previously (with VersionTracker), selecting the software title for GC would send me to the developer's site where I could download the appropriate version.
Also, printing a pdf of this page creates 8 pages when it should be 3 pages. The title does not include the version number of this product. Is that true for all software downloads using CNET?
Why is the Review sixteen months old? This review is not a review of this particular version. VT handled this aspect of new software better.
The problem with the smudge tool may have (finally) been fixed in this version (7.0.1.76). Clicking on an area once will cause pixels in the area to blend / smooth in version 5.9.5, but in versions for Intel Macs, doing this will cause the area to become more pixelated instead of blending the pixels together. That has been the main problem. Brushes for painting has been another. But, compared to Photoshop, the price is right.
