"Disappointing Product and no real support"

    June 19, 2008  |   By RcJ2

    Pros

The feeds showed up whenever I refreshed manually.

    Cons

Ok, so I know you're wondering why I gave it such a low review. Well let me say that aside from actually being able to read the feeds whenever I manually refreshed, I was disappointed. I've added in 3 very popular news feed while I've seen update itself every few minutes. I wanted to be updated as much as possible so I downloaded this popular software. After changing the settings around from the default setting of updating every 15 minutes to updating every 5 minutes, I've seen it switch BACK to the default setting every day for the last 3 weeks (the time period I've had this software). I've checked all possible tabs and information to find out why this was happening. I've uninstalled and reinstalled based on what the support forums has said. Nothing as it goes back its painful 15 minute updates.

I've tried suggestions people have gave me (and I'm not computer illiterate) and Snarfer decided it wanted to do its own thing. At this point, until Snarfer decides to actually remember and understand what a user want to do when reading feeds, it’s not worth the trouble if you’re looking for something less than 15 minutes updates.

I've followed all the steps requested when I went not only to customer support but to the forum as well. Any information requested was provided and no solution was of any help from Support or the friendly members of your forum. At this point, I'm now using another program (won't say because this is not the correct place) and I've yet to run into a problem since I left my feedback on 06/19.

I'm sorry if you didn't find my review helpful but it was my review of the product I've used.

Users can only be helped if they respond to questions and provide info needed to help our tech. support people understand what's going on.
