  Serious problems in transmitting files, especially over distance.
  Version 7 userinterface is very slow, and have lost the simple operation over version 6, and is now rather clumpsey..

  Summary

  This is a review of the Serv-U Server V6 and 7.
  After using version 6 of Serv-U during 12 months, the result is clear. As long as the internet connection is perfect, and the server and client are close, it works fine. But the moment the client is in another country, or the internet connection is not 100% tip top, it may take minutes to download even small files. Between continents the file transfers simply are not possible. This with one download in progress, we have also tested with 2-3 simultanoius connections, which may be acceptable for non-commercial use. Upgrading to version 7 dosnt help much. Further, even on a Windows 2003 server, the new version 7 adm interface is very slow, and the user interface is clumpsey. We have now installed the FileZilla Server, and all problems are gone, plus the FileZilla has a more simple user.
