"Major League FTP Client"
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Yummy FTP really has it going now. Filters (which I grumped about earlier), are flexible, organized well, and work reliably. YFTP can act as a browser for local web site files, flexibly specify applications (such as Dreamweaver) via keystroke to edit locally, then synchronize/upload to the remote server. This affords the nicest workflow for web site design and maintenance that I've seen to date. Essential Applescripts are included, which makes things even more efficient. Information is neatly organized on multi-pane windows, so I'm not always moving overlapping windows around. No crashes to date.
I admit to being an FTP junkie, and have Fetch, Transmit and Interarchy licenses. While I'll always keep Interarchy around, I'm coming to the conclusion that, for 95% of my FTP tasks, the YFTP workflow is the fastest and most direct of the half-dozen FTP clients that I've tried.
