"If you like AIM.."
Summary
You'll love ICQ Lite. I've been an ICQ user for years. ICQ's addition of AIM contacts, and buddy icons, while retaining its great archiving capabilities make it a fantastic client.
Almost all the IM clients are getting bulkier and bulkier. If you want more features like e-mail sending and checking, audio/video, use ICQ Pro.. its free, and only a few more MB more.. and it still allows you to choose the features you want. (even more so then ICQ Lite.)
And one more thing--The SMS support really isn't ICQ's fault. Blame the cell phone companies.
If you want to send an SMS fast, use the cell phone company's websites.
By the way, the ICQ Video and Audio technology available in ICQ Pro is the same technology as in iChat and AIM.
