"more difficult, ineffective and time consuming"
Pros
none I have found yet, and how nice to be able to say that and not have my post removed for "nonconstructive ranting" (apple)
Cons
columns I don't need or want make it more difficult to access the lists I used in 10.7. I can't see my audiobooks as "albums" in a list, they must be displayed as tracts or songs (sometimes 27 tracks in a set of 23 audiobooks) makes moving them on and off the ipod a pain. The columns I move around revert to useless settings each time I change from my device to Library. Time spent trying to find out why "Column browser" is not accessible... side bar blocks it... big album pictures with no option for a "list" instead... nothing about it is as effective as 10.7, big, clumsy and time consuming... no options to make it fit my materials... I haven't found anything superior about it and lots to not like.
Summary
itunes took an accessible, effective, efficient library and made it difficult and awkward, taking away the effective options and replacing it with useless space using columns and big album squares and incomplete titles instead of an easily readable effective list.
Everything I do with it is more difficult than 10.7
I had one big complaint with itunes, the increasingly "missing files" at last count something like 9,000.... and I am not the only one. itunes no longer easily replaces missing files, now it is more difficult to move items on and off the ipod
thanks, I wanted my entertainment to be more difficult.
