"Handy to use and a big timesaver"
Easy to use for most tasks
Allows you to pull information from a variety of online databases e.g. song info/album info/artwork.
Now allows you to drag images from chrome directly onto the artwork area (handy if the song is not on any database - e.g. an unknown artist/unsigned etc.)
Good for mass renaming/tagging files
Has lots of custom sources made by users
Doesn't support all popular sources e.g. iTunes (but users have made their own scripts that are available via official forum).
Great program. I run an online radio station and usually rip CDs with Winamp but it doesn't always get all the info correct and no longer (at this current time) pulls artwork - this is where MP3tag comes in.
It is good for pulling information from online databases and great for renaming stuff e.g. if you have loads of tracks with the filename track 1, track 2 but the correct metadata tagged you can tell it to rename the file names by the tags e.g. artist - title. I love the chrome drag and drop artwork feature to.
The only problem is the web sources sometimes don't pick up entries but when you look on their actual site they are there - however extended scripts are available on the official forum. You can get scripts on the forum for other sources to including iTunes although the iTunes script can only use one country (can change it to your own but can only have one wrote into it) and would like to see iTunes as an actual readily installed default.
