    "Stupendous development"

    September 6, 2008  |   By tim.lance

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Current (as of this date, Sept.6) is 20080907 (build 86). In all my years I have never seen such rapid development, all of it based on user input. The latest feature has to do with Accurate Rip and terminology used in the resulting log. The developer has his reasons, based on user input, for the wording in the previous version. A number of users wanted an alternate wording. The developer as is his practice accommodates both groups by making a feature optional.

You may not want to have it set to automatically check for updates (I hate apps phoning home.) but you should always manually check daily for the time being.

Load a CD, have your prefs set for Test/Copy but only if a track is not in Accurate Rip database. Couldn't be easier to manage. A bonus is a notification in the Decode window when the CD is in the AR database.

Just two things needed: 1) a proper explanation on how cache is defeated; 2) correct handling of "fancier" CDs (Super, Enhanced, etc.).
