"Exceptional Value -- Well Worth the Price"
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've really got to disagree with the guys who are complaining about the meager $19.95 upgrade fee that Circus Ponies is charging to upgrade to the newest release. I bought the product when it was first released -- I think I paid $10 for a competitive upgrade. That was somewhere in 2002 or 2003. Since then the program has gone through hundreds of enhancements. The company gave me (and you) a free upgrade to version 2 and all of its revisions. Now they are asking us to help support development by paying a paltry twenty bucks for some significant enhancements to version 3 -- like the toolbar, the ability to tear out a page and work in two sections of the notebook at once, tablet support, graphic items, and my favorite, sticky notes. So the new implementation of tables didn't make it into the first release -- they will be forthcoming at no additional cost. And you can still do tables the old way if they are necessary for your needs. So guys, if you don't like the program, don't buy it; but please stop griping about the request for a modest upgrade fee that only comes along once in six years. How would you like to get paid once every six years?
