"This driver causes image quality problems during online gaming"

    September 9, 2006  |   By CMSA

    Didn't like anything about it...

I recently upgraded my video card to the Nvidia 7950 X2 SLI card (in theory, should run most games with max settings for optimal quality). I am a COD2 player and after selecting the settings within the game GUI to all the highest settings (also selecting DirectX 9.0) the graphics were horrible (specifically, the environment was so hazy and foggy, it prevented me from seeing my opponents clearly). I was perplexed as to why this was happening until one of the players told me to revert back to DirectX 7 and see if that would fix the problem. Well, it did! And the graphics were as clear as anything I have ever seen before. Word to the wise. Don't use it...yet
