"Yep, it's pretty bad"
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Well, disregarding the negative comments below (and elsewhere) I figured it couldn't be that bad and purchased the overpriced upgrade.
Bad move. Nothing but hassles. Would not initially recognise the v2 container. After multiple uninstalls and reinstalls, it was finally recognised. Then initiated the installation of the new version of Tools, only to have the install crash the application. So, tried and tried again with constant crashes. Back to the uninstall/reinstall process. Went through this several times. No luck. The application crashes constantly. Can't get it to stay up for more than 30 seconds. And this using a thoroughly stable version 2 container.
Have wasted several hours on this. Ugh!
Believe the negative comments. Looks like VMfusion is the way to go.
