    "I'm fed up"

TechTool is a useful application that has helped me out of a jam on several occasions. Normally I don't attach a star rating for a minor version update, but today I'm mad as hell and I feel like throwing some hurt at MicroMat for their abysmal update mechanism. Are they running their update server on an Apple II? It took me five tries to successfully complete the 5.0.7 download. Some tries failed after a few minutes, others waited until nearly done to fail. Luckily I had gone through all this hassle with the previous incremental updates, so I knew where in my file system to look for the file so I didn't have to go through the same frustration updating my eDrive.

It is unconscionable that MicroMat chooses to treat their paying customers like criminals. Since the updated version still requires reentering the registration code, wouldn't it be much more convenient for all if MicroMat provided a simple download link for minor updates? That way failed downloads could at least be restarted until complete.

So that's why I'm giving TechTool Pro two stars this time.
