"NOT freeware - "shareware" version has a trial period"
None I know of
NOT Free, requires email registration!
Didn't finish the install as I didn't want to "register" for their service or whatever. Cnet should really do a better job of no allowing shareware being listed as "free". This is NOT a free program - registration required.OK, I couldn't find a better alternative, so I installed StartUp Tuner 2 without the registration. Now I get an error message 10 times, every time I touch the program:

"There is no disk in the drive, please insert a disk into drive ." (SIC)
I had a feeling this is related to my Memory Stick drive on this laptop, so I disabled the drive in device manager, and it fixed the problem. Since I can't go disabling my Memory Stick reader every time I want to use this program, I can't use it. The error messages are making the program unusable. Pretty lame BUG! These guys should be identifying the type of drive their program is examining and "skip" solid state hardware like Memory Stick drives when they have no media inserted. So, my first suspicions were correct. I should NOT have installed this non-free "shareware with registration" piece of junk. It doesn't even work with memory stick drives!!
