"Help With Eraser"
Pros
Works all right and is free.
Cons
When I erased unused disk space one day, besides the fact that it took a long long time, it actually added and took up more space on my HDD. I looked at my C:\ and found out that 5 more gb was stored on it somehow. Can I get help or any comments to why this is happening?

Eraser, as it finishes wiping a section, fills the HD with fake files. Did you interrupt the erase before it finished? Check in your C:\ drive. There is probably a weird folder that begins with the following symbol ~ . It may even end in .TMP If you look in there, I bet its full of 5GB of files. You can just erase this folder and run the eraser program again. Hope this helps.
