"Hate the ribbon"
Pros
All the good is undermined by the ribbon.
Cons
A good reliable product ruined by the introduction of the ribbon. There's not even an option to turn it off and revert to the classic interface. Some people love it and encourage refuseniks like me to try it and learn to love it. Why should I? I'll just buy something else that suits me. So goodbye MS Office and hello Open Office or Ashampoo Office 2010 both of which will do fine.
Summary
MS need to remember why so many people hate Apple: because they decide what is right for their customers and won't give them a choice. Apparently the ribbon is going to appear in Win 8 explorer too. That means I'll probably be sticking with Win7 for as long as I stuck with xp (8 years), unless MS realise that the customer is always right and give us a choice.

i wouldn't worry about windows 8
1. it looks epic (obviously you don't agree)
2. they have said right from the start that all the new stuff they are bringing can just be "switched off" and you will be back to windows 7 (which is what i expect i will do)
