"Did not work for my PDF File"

    February 10, 2011  |   By Techno Guy

    Installation is straightforward

It could not read a PDF 1.6 file

It was unable to read a PDF 1.6 file, popping up an alert that it was not a valid file. Then the program would crash and Windows would have to shut it down.

My system is Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. My guess is that the program has not been updated to read newer PDF versions.

One minor quirk: In some places, the application is identified by the installer as PDF Image Extract, and in other places as PDF Image Extractr (yes, missing the letter "o"). This inconsistency suggests some carelessness in the programming, but in itself is not a big deal.
