  Pros

  Does downloads as fast as it can using my internet connection. Putting them all in one folder is a plus.

  Cons

  It does not have a download database like the old Download Wonder. It will also not try to reconnect if a link is broken.

  Summary

  I have an ADSL connection capped at 512kb/sec. My bandwidth is also capped at 3GB per month. For large downloads, >100MB, I need reliability and DAP does a pretty good job. I have only had one 700MB file which was corrupt out of many greater than 100MB. I find it reliable.
  
  From the old Apple2 days, I have become a collector of software which I might need someday. I have 2.6GB of downloads on file in Download Wonder going back to 1997. Download Wonder gave me a database which allowed me to catalog all these programs. I miss that. On the other hand, the My Completed Downloads file, where DAP puts downloads, is currently at 7.65GB, many hundred times the capacity of my first hard drive.
  
  Download wonder also tried several times to reestablish a broken connection which became necessary when I tried a different anti virus program which interfered in downloads, stopping them frequently. An expensive feature of DAP and I had to change anti virus programs.
  
  The progrram easily meets my basic needs and I do not know of a better one.
