"Top-notch single- or multi-page PDF printing"

    January 19, 2010  |   By W Macaulay

I use PDFCreator to create large, complex PDFs from CAD and word processing applications. PDFCreator does a great job of creating these PDFs. PDFCreator can be used to create single-page or multi-page PDFs, and works as a collating engine.

Once you've got all the pages up, you must select them all in the PDFCreator window and combine them, then save the final file as a PDF. This dialog is not the most intuitive design out there.

It's free and it does good work. It works on Windows 7 x64, Vista, XP... and it obviates the need to spend $400 for Acrobat. Other than PDFFactory, there are few products that do what PDFCreator does for free.
