    "Absolutely GREAT Software!"

    June 26, 2007  |   By leehemen

    Pros

It does everything MS Office does with NO hassles of getting it registered. I have spent THREE weeks trying to get a Student/Home Edition of MS Office Registered over the phone -- FORGET IT! I began using Open Office in frustration and found it to be very well done and it does a more than Office 2003. If you have not tried this open source office suite, you really need to. In fact, after running my own business using MS Office, I would recommend this instead for some businesses because it is FREE and you can use it on as many machines as you like!

    Cons

Some of the text looks kind of funky in outline mode in Impress, but most folks would not notice it. We use it for our worship overheads and it works very well. Plus it can be used with two monitors at the same time!

As a guitarist/worship team player, one of the most frustrating aspects of that gig is the dreaded Overheads. Open Office absolutely rawks in that department.
