    "Slow & jerky -- I'll stick with 3.1.0621"

The new v4.0.1563 is significantly poorer at rendering - it's slow, jerky, and blotchy. I remember the first time I downloaded one of the early betas months ago, and 'flew' on the Google-provided tour of Planet Earth. My eyes popped out of my head; I still remember my amazement at what the folks at Google had accomplished. I just tried the same tour with 4.0.1563, and it gave me a headache. The tour would generally leave a destination and fly away before the rendering of the stop was complete.

V4 has some nice UI bells and whistles -- too bad the core engine has regressed.

I'm using a Al Powerbook with 1 GB, the last of the PPC generation.
