    "TERRIBLE! DANGEROUS! False updates!"

    December 14, 2012  |   By Parpaluck

    Pros

One pro: It is FREE, so you don't risk wasting money on garbage.

    Cons

TERRIBLE! DANGEROUS! It does NOT distinguish between an old version and a newer version of a driver.

After the first run, it keeps WRONGLY reporting that updates are available! In fact, it keeps downloading older drivers after the first run on a PC.

I keep getting FALSE reports on Realtek audio drivers and Intel Chipset various drivers. After I ran SlimDrivers first, I got the report OK in green. If I scan again, I keep getting the report that 21 updates are available. In truth, all those updates are false. The drivers on my PC are newer than the so-called updates.

I always get the error message "Loading driver failed", then I am asked to restart my computer!

SlimDrivers is a nerve-wrecking mess. The same as the sibling SlimCleaner, which always reports my drive is fragmented. After each defrag operation, SlimCleaner reports higher and higher fragmentation percentages (totally absurd, such as 28850548736.00% fragmented!!!)

Free but dangerous! There are plenty of hidden dangers!
