    "Only works on administrator account."

    February 25, 2010  |   By angrykeyboarder

Notifies you of (some) updates to your software.

    Many "false positives".
Only works from an administrator account.

A smiler utility from (which strangely you can download her on CNET also) is much better. It finds more apps, and has no false positives.

The bad thing about both apps is that they only work if you're logged in as an administrator.

Yes, you can't install software without administrative privlidges, but you can "run as" an Administrator from any user account. This the proper (and secure) way to install software.

So app, notify me of updates, download them for me and then Windows will prompt me for the administrator's password when I install them...

You would think that they fixed the Administrator issue by now, but alas they have not.

You STILL have to be logged in as an admin in order to use this product.

    FileHippo for the win!
