    "No real need"

    Does what it's supposed to do, whether you want it to or not

    Cons

    How important are new versions if what you have works fine? Most of the time it doesn't matter. Let me make that choice. Sometimes new versions are worse.

    Summary

    Example- I had the BBC version of Real Player. It was recommended as better than the US version, for lack of in-your-face ads, etc. CNET Tech Tracker updated to the US version for me! So I uninstalled both Real Player and Tech Tracker. See Ya!!
