"A no brainer for collaboration"
Pros
near-instant updates, free offsite storage for important files, access to previous versions of files, ability to access from any computer, mobile interfaces, cross platform, great way to send and receive (or just view) large files. Great interface
Cons
Rarely, when a large number of files are uploaded at once, one or 2 may not contain data. When that happens, resend those files. Otherwise, no cons I can think of.
Summary
I use Dropbox for 2 businesses as well as for personal files. It's fast, easy to use, cross platform, and it just works- very simple to use once installed, even for computer-phobic people. It's also a nice touch that you get extra space when you invite other people- up to 10 GB for free if you invite enough. The 2 GB free starter account is adequate for most people, and is good for sending large files rather than emailing them. This is a simple cloud system that interfaces seamlessly with your computer(s). I think it's absolutely great.
