    "Slow, won't uninstall"

    February 19, 2012  |   By ralden0

    It's not a virus.

My girlfriend accidentally installed this while I was giving her directions to install ad-aware over the phone. The uninstaller crashes. The separate Norton romoval tool from their support forum crashes. I'm now helping her edit her registry, etc. What a pain! Don't install if you ever think you may want to uninstall.

It also slows down her computer's startup significantly.

Neither the uninstaller nor Norton's removal tool from their support forums properly removes this.

Turn off "Norton tamper protection" (on 15 min).
Use CCleaner or Revo uninstaller to uninstall it.
