"Simple interface; but needs refinement under the hood."
Minimalist interface that isn't confusing to the average user like Norton and McAfee are. Appears to be less intrusive resource wise than other products out there.
Minimalist interface will probably turn off advanced users. I couldn't find a way to set scheduled scans; but from what I can tell that's not part of Titanium's operating model. Caused my IE 8 browser to flicker and refresh constantly.
Since my machine is a 32-bit XP SP3 box, I suspect Trend Micro concentrated more on making it work properly with Windows 7 than XP. I'm a long time Trend Micro user and I took advantage of their free upgrade to Titanium; but when it caused the annoying browser flickering and refresh issues, I went back to my TM 2010 product. I'm in the process of setting up a laptop for a friend who isn't tech savvy, so I may remove the trial version of Norton that HP put on her machine and install TM Titanium to keep things simple for her. As for upgrading my machine and my wife's laptop to Titanium, I'll wait till my subscription is due for renewal. Maybe by then TM will have gone a serious bug-hunt to get the critters out of Titanium.
