    "SHAME -- SHAME--SHAME!! ON CNET.COM!!"

    Pros

    Foxit is an excellent PDF reader. Works better and installs more easily than Adobe, for certain, and especially better than NitroPDF!
    Program loads, remains active, and appears when summoned. Performs flawlessly, and then goes back into its hole, to await the next summons. Could not ask for more, especially for free!

    Cons

    Shame On CNET.COM - for allowing an approval to intercede in the installation process, which now requires that you select (or deselect) 3 (THREE) check boxes (very, very small check boxes) embedded in a paragraph of text, and which no doubt one is expected to bypass when in a hurry to install the software. If you DO NOT de-select the check boxes, you're stuck with a new home page, new web browser, and a set of new, stupid emoticons which will no doubt screw up a good deal of processes before they can be deleted!!

    Summary

    Foxit Portable - Excellent!! Functional, lightweight, effective and free!

    CNET -- SHAME!! SHAME!! SHAME!! FOR ALLOWING A SOFTWARE COMPANY TO SUBVERT PEOPLES EQUIPMENT!!
