"An excellent alternative to MS Office"
Pros
1 - It's free for everyone, personal, business, anybody.
2 - The files created with it are compatible with MS Office files.
3 - It is a stable product with a long development and support history.Cons
None, really. There are not very many templates included in their presentation (like PowerPoint) program, but since you can use native PowerPoint templates anyway, that's not a big issue.
Summary
This is a rock-solid, stable piece of software. I've been using it both personally and professionally since it was "born" several years ago. It only gets better as the years have gone by. I'm a teacher in a private Christian school where we don't have the big state-funded budgets of public schools, and this suite of programs helps a lot, as I can teach our students various skills that are directly transportable to the MS Office programs, with seldom more than a keystroke here or there of difference. And to be able to do this freely at not cost is just icing on the cake.
