    "Best video player ever"

    It's free
    Easy to use
    plays just about any video format, without extra codec's needed installed and other formats e.g. audio
    Multiple operating systems supported

    Cons

    Will keep coming up asking to build the cache font every so often and will take a while at times to complete (this is fixable)

    Summary

    VLC is a free media player available on a multiple of operating systems. It can play video, audio etc and is usually used to play video as it is able to play video's without you having to worry about installing codecs.

    It does have a con that I mentioned above. Apparently I can't advertise so if you search into Google "Disabling Building Font Cache dialog of VLC Media Player" you should be able to get a detailed and easy to follow fix that will make VLC even quicker!
