    "Recent Builds Are Just "OK""

    March 26, 2010  |   By mistertee

Free TV on your computer, interactive features, attractive interface.

Channels can be VERY slow to load, often freezing your computer for several minutes, crashes often (sometimes must be shut down via Task Manager), rather limited choice of channels/programming.

If I'm not mistaken, I remember TVU as being a much better app in it's early days. Having experienced several problems (see "cons") with the latest version on my XP, Vista and Win 7 systems, I'm fairly convinced the software itself is just plain buggy. Same goes for the TVU "plugin" which is integrated into other 3rd party TV player proggy's. With so many choices for internet TV these days, I can definitely live without TVU. That said, I would definitely try it again if and when the bugs are ironed out.
