    "Simple or Powerful; you decide"

    September 25, 2013  |   By sknis

    Pros

What I like about Power Director is that you can do some simple video creation to tell a story like a birthday party using images and videos. I have a DV camera and can capture from that using the program and firewire port. It has all the tools for special effects, transitions, music, etc. that most video editors have. It is stable - I have less crashing with Cyberlink's programs than others.

The program also has the ability to add all the specials, i.e. key frames for tracking individuals, picture in picture, multiple cameras for different points of view with the ability to sync the audios. I does have a shake reduction as in the review and more.

I think the key thing for me, a simple type of person are the menus that are included and editable. If you don't find the one you want, you can go to the "Director's Zone" and download many more that can be edited. It allows for NewBlue effects if you want to get semi-fancy.

    Cons

Still dos not allow for burning of video folder sets for blu ray discs nor for the creation of image files directly. Other Cyberlink software or free burning software is needed is necessary
