    "Slide show maker... nothing else"

    Pros

    -It's free
    -It's better at accepting different video formats compared to older versions of MM
    -It's good at making photo slideshows

    Cons

    -Lousy, counter-intuitive interface and no timeline
    -Many more clicks needed to get to basic functions compared to MM 6.0
    -Fewer useful options when right-clicking mouse
    -Certain tabs like Project seem arbitrary and amateurish

    Summary

    This is a botched and amateurish rehash of iMovie 08, which is itself the least liked member of iLife from the last 5 years. If you're going to copy Apple, at least copy something good like iMovie 06! Due to the lack of a timeline option, and the intuitive precision a timeline allows, WLMM is an exercise in frustration. The WLMM dev. team has been bombarded with complaints, but it appears they no longer care. Go look for Movie Maker 6.0 on Google or Youtube.
