    "Works but quirky"

    Pros

    Displays every doc I've tried; renders well; fast; security by obscurity

    Cons

    Weak search; misplaced buttons, overlaid text, etc. in dialog boxes; child windows (like search box) remain onscreen when other browser tabs active; full plugin toolbar only visible when browser window stretched really wide; no Linux version

    Summary

    FoxIt Reader works pretty well and is fast while being less resource intensive than Adobe Reader. However, the misbehaviors and general lack of polish are quite annoying. That FixIt Reader isn't Adobe Reader means it is somewhat less likely to enable malware to gain control of one's computer, though Adobe Reader X's new sandbox design may well be as safe.
