"Talk about a fall from grace..."
Free. Sometimes works.
Primo 3 was on my top ten list of best free Windows apps. Version 4 wouldn't make the list if they thew in a bag of chips. On four computers (2 XP, 2 Vista) it would only install correctly on one. Why? Who knows? But the kicker is that version 3 has worked on everything I've ever installed it on. Worse yet, somehow even when it does work the output looks worse than the last version did. Something must have gone terribly wrong with the development in this version. However, You can still find version 3 for download online from a number of sites. Use it instead and be glad you did. Or alternatively install Ubuntu Linux within Windows (its super easy, no partitioning needed, its almost impossible to mess up, installs like a windows app) and then you can print to PDF as part of the OS itself for free (the pdf looks better this way anyway).
But if you don't want to install Linux, or take five minutes to search for version 3 or buy Acrobat Pro then there is a chance that this might install and work. Cross your fingers.
